'Letters from the Isle of Man' tells the infamous story of the mutiny on HMS Bounty from a new perspective, by revealing the correspondence between young Nessy Heywood and her brother, Midshipman Peter Heywood. For his part in the mutiny, Heywood was to be hanged, but Nessy campaigned tirelessly for her brother's life. Author Christiane Conway intersperses their correspondence with her own dramatic retelling of the fateful episode, and the history of the Heywood family on the Isle of Man.
